Effects of this medicine

This medicine enhances sympathetic nerve function indirectly in order to increase blood pressure.
It is usually used to improve essential hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, and decreased blood pressure when receiving dialysis.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
    If you are a patient with hypertension, hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma, glaucoma, or prostatic hypertrophy.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • For the treatment of essential hypotension and orthostatic hypotension: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (10mg of the active ingredient) twice a day. The dose may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
    For improvement of decreased blood pressure when receiving dialysis: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (10mg of the active ingredient) before receiving dialysis. The dose may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
  • If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. However, if you are a hemodialysis patient and realize that you missed a dose before receiving dialysis, take the missed dose as soon as possible. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
  • If you took too much of this medicine (more than prescribed), consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include palpitation, headache, nausea/vomiting, glow, hypertension, rash, eczema and hives. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
