Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include cytomegalus virus infection, nasopharyngitis, headache, sore throat, cough, nasal discharge, increased sputum, diarrhea, itch, rash, fever, chill, chest pain and hypertension/increased blood pressure. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
- rash, respiratory distress, hypotension [acute hypersensitivity reaction]
- fever, cold-like symptoms, general malaise [infections]
- disturbance of consciousness, decreased attention, impaired judgment, paralysis in limbs [progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy]
- decreased urine output, general edema [BK virus nephropathy]
