Effects of this medicine

This medicine neutralizes gastric acid, protects the gastric mucosa, and improves symptoms such as heartburn through its antacid effect and protective effect of the mucosa.
It is usually used for antacid and to improve symptoms of gastric/duodenal ulcer, gastritis and upper gastrointestinal tract dysfunction.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you are on dialysis.
    If you have renal disorder, cardiac dysfunction, diarrhea, hypermagnesemia or decreased phosphate level.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • In general, for adults, take 1.6 to 4.8 g in several divided doses a day. Suspend the medicine in approximately 10 mL of water per 1 g, or take it as it is. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. This medicine contains 1.2 g in a packet. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • Take the medicine immediately after you suspend it in water. If you take the medicine as it is, take it with a glass of water.
  • If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Pay attention not to take a large amount of milk or calcium preparation with this medicine as much as possible since it may cause adverse reactions such as hypercalcemia.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include loss of appetite, nausea, gastric distress, constipation and diarrhea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
