Effects of this medicine

This medicine reduces urethral pressure by selectively blocking α1 receptors in the prostate/urethra and suppressing the contraction of the prostate/urethral smooth muscle, thereby improving urination disorder associated with prostatic hypertrophy.
It is usually used to treat urination disorder associated with prostatic hypertrophy.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • In general, for adults, start with 1 tablet (25 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day after meal. If its effect is insufficient, the dosage may be gradually increased to 2 to 3 tablets (50 to 75 mg) at a time, once a day after meal, at an interval of 1 to 2 weeks. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms. However, the maximum daily dose is 3 tablets (75 mg). Strictly follow the instructions.
  • This medicine is a new type of medicine which can be taken without water (orally disintegrating tablet). This medicine dissolves quickly when you moisten the tablet with saliva in the mouth and crush it lightly with the tongue. Swallow the tablet with saliva. You can also take the medicine with water or lukewarm water. Do not take the tablet without water when you are lying down.
  • If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • This medicine may cause dizziness/dizziness on standing up. Pay close attention when you work at heights, drive a car or operate dangerous machinery.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include dizziness/light headedness, dizziness on standing up, hypotension (including postural hypotension), gastric distress, rash, itch, hives and erythema multiforme. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the white of eyes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
  • faint, loss of consciousness [syncope, unconsciousness]

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
