Effects of this medicine

This medicine relieves pain of the following treatment by local anesthetic action; injection, removing water warts and laser irradiation.
It is usually used to alleviate pain of intravenous indwelling needle, removing molluscum contagiosum and skin laser irradiation therapy.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines. If you have porphyria.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • Pain relief of intravenous indwelling needle: In general, apply one piece (18 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, for approximately 30 minutes, to the injection site. After peeling off this medicine, the applied site will be disinfected and the intravenous indwelling needle will be inserted immediately. Strictly follow the instructions.
    Pain relief of removing molluscum contagiosum: In general, for children, apply up to 2 pieces (36 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, for approximately one hour, to the site where molluscum contagiosum will be removed. After peeling off this medicine, molluscum contagiosum will be removed promptly. Strictly follow the instructions.
    Pain relief of skin laser irradiation therapy: In general, for adults, apply up to 6 pieces (108 mg of the active ingredient); for children aged 3 or under, apply up to 2 pieces (36 mg); for children aged 4 to 5, apply up to 3 pieces (54 mg); for children aged 6 to 7, apply up to 4 pieces (72 mg); for children aged 8 to 9, apply up to 5 pieces (90 mg); for children aged 10 and older, apply up to 6 pieces (108 mg), at a time, for approximately one hour, to the scheduled site of laser irradiation. After peeling off this medicine, laser irradiation will be done promptly. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • Do not use at the site of eczema, rash, injured skin, mucosa, or to the face.
  • Do not stop applying this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include redness, itch, contact dermatitis, erythema, stimulation, hives, feverish, and pain. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • sweating, feeling unwell/dizziness, respiratory distress  [shock, anaphylaxis]
