Effects of this medicine

This medicine acts on the benzodiazepine receptors in the brain and suppresses neuronal excitement, thus mainly relieving anxiety, tension, etc.
It is usually used for the treatment of psychiatric symptoms of anxiety and tension, cramps and pain accompanied by psychosomatic disease or cerebrospinal disease, and also used prior to anesthesia.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have acute narrow-angle glaucoma or myasthenia gravis.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • In general, for adults, take 0.2 to 0.5g (2 to 5mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 2 to 4 times per day. However, for outpatients, the daily dose should not exceeded 1.5g (15mg) in principle.
    For children aged 3 years or younger, take 0.1 to 0.5g (1 to 5mg) per day, in 1 to 3 divided doses portions.
    For children aged 4 to 12 years, take 0.2 to 1g (2 to 10mg) per day, in 1 to 3 divided doses.
    For patients with muscle cramps: For adults, take 0.2 to 1g (2 to 10mg) at a time, 3 to 4 times per day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the patient's age and symptoms.
    For pre-anesthetic medication: For adults, take 0.5 to 1g (5 to 10mg) at a time, before bedtime or before operation. The dosage may be adjusted according to the patient's age, symptoms and diseases.
    Strictly follow the instructions.
  • If you miss a dose,do not take the missed dose. Skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Taking this medicine may cause sleepiness, decreased attention or inability to react immediately. Do not operate dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
  • Intake of alcohol may enhance the effect of this medicine. Refrain from drinking alcohol while taking the medicine.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include ,sleepiness, swaying feeling, jaundice, tremor, nausea/vomiting, rash and malaise. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • inability to stop taking the medicine [drug dependence]
  • feeling delirious, inability of normal thinking, loss of sense of time and place [irritable excitation, confusion]
  • difficulty with breathing [respiratory depression]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
