Effects of this medicine

This medicine inhibits phosphodiesterase III activity of the blood platelet and the vascular smooth muscle, and shows antiplatelet/vasodilating action, consequently improves blood flow.
It is usually used for the improvement of ischemic symptoms such as ulcer, pain, and chilly sensation based on chronic arterial occlusive disease, and prevention of recurrence of cerebral infarction.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
    If you are bleeding.
    If you are a patient with cardiac disease, bleeding tendency, diabetes, liver disorder, kidney disorder, or hypertension which blood pressure has been increasing.
    If you are menstruant.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • General dosage regimen: For adults, take 2 tablets (100mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
  • Take a dose as soon as possible when you remember that you missed a dose. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.
  • If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Avoid drinking grapefruit juice with the medicine. It may enhance the effect of the medicine.
  • In case of bleeding, blood may not clot quickly when taking the medicine. If bleeding time is prolonged or the injury involves a large area, immediately visit the nearest hospital.
  • If you receive treatment of tooth extraction and surgery, you must inform the doctor that you are taking the medicine.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: rash, eruption, hives, itch, photosensitivity, erythema, palpitation, tachycardia, glow, increase blood pressure, arrhythmia, decrease blood pressure, headache, headache dull, dizziness, insomnia, numbness, drowsiness, shivering (limb tremor), etc.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • chest pain, palpitation, shortness of breath  [congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, angina, ventricular tachycardia]
  • headache, flulike symptoms, hematemesis/melena  [bleeding (intracranial hemorrhage such as cerebral hemorrhage, pulmonary hemorrhage, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, nasal bleeding, fundal hemorrhage, etc.)]
  • epigastric pain, tenderness, nausea [gastric/duodenal ulcer]
  • sore throat, fever (hyperthermia), nasal/gum bleeding, subcutaneous hemorrhage  [pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia]
  • fever, dry cough, breathing difficulty  [interstitial pneumonia]
  • generalized fatigability, nausea, yellowness in skin or conjunctiva  [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
