Effects of this medicine

This medicine inhibits the synthesis of neutral fat/cholesterol in the liver and improves metabolic turnover of blood cholesterol in order to decrease neutral fat/cholesterol in the blood.
It is usually used to treat hyperlipidemia.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
  • If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (200mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
  • If you missed a dose, take the missed a dose as soon as possible. Wait at least 4 hours until the next dose. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
  • If you took too much of this medicine (more than prescribed), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Follow your doctor's instruction on diets, exercises and reminders in your daily life.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, nausea, vomit, abdominal pain, diarrhea, itch, redness, erythematous rash, hives, eczema, and depilation. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • Pain in the limb muscle, stiffness, numbness [rhabdomyolysis]

  • Keep out the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
