Effects of this medicine

This medicine enhances the action of GABA nervous system binding to benzodiazepine receptor in the brain. It consequently relieves anxiety, nervousness, depression, obsession, fear or sleep disorder.
It is usually used in the treatment of neurosis, depression, psychosomatic disorder or as preanesthetic medication.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rach, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you are a patient with glaucoma or myasthenia gravis.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • For treatment of neurosis or depression: In general, for adults, take 6 to 15 mg of the active ingredient a day in 2 to 3 divided doses. The dosage should be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Each tablet contains 5 mg of the active ingredient.
    For treatment of psychosomatic disorder
    : In general, for adults, take 3 to 6 mg of the active ingredient a day in 2 to 3 divided doses. The dosage should be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Each tablet contains 5 mg of the active ingredient.
    As preanesthetic medication
    : In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (5 mg of the active ingredient) before surgery or at bedtime of the day before surgery. The dosage should be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms.
    Strictly follow the instructions in any case.
  • If you miss a dose, in case of neurosis, depression or psychosomatic disorder, take a dose as soon as possible when you remember that you missed a dose. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time. In case of preanesthetic medication and if you remember it before going to bed on the day before surgery, take a dose as soon as possible. If you remember it in the morning of the day of surgery, skip the missed dose and tell it to your doctor/nurse.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • The medicine may cause drowsiness, diminished attention, loss of concentration, decreased reflex motor capacity, etc. Avoid operating dangerous machinery and driving a car, etc.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol as it may intensify the effect of the medicine.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itch, drowsiness, light-headedness, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue and lassitude. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • unable to stop the medicine, symptoms that occur when stopping the medicine (convulsion, disturbed consciousness, tremor in limbs, sleeplessness, anxiety, hallucination, delusion, etc.)  [dependence]
  • excitement, confusion of consciousness  [irritable excitation, confusion]

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
