Effects of this medicine

This medicine acts on the benzodiazepine receptors in the brain and suppresses neuronal excitement. It mainly removes anxiety, tension, or suppresses convulsion.
It is usually used for the treatment of psychiatric disease or condition showing anxiety and tension, and used for suppressing convulsion caused by epilepsy-like intussusception state, organic phosphorus poisoning or carbamate addiction.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have acute narrow-angle glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, acute alcohol poisoning or debilitating.
    If you have cardiac dysfunction, liver disorder, renal disorder, or brain disorder.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • This medicine may cause sleepiness, decreased attention or inability to react immediately. Do not operate dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
  • Intake of alcohol may enhance the effect of this medicine. Refrain from drinking alcohol while taking the medicine.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include ,sleepiness, light headedness, jaundice, tremor, nausea/vomiting, rash and malaise. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • inability to stop taking the medicine [drug dependence]
  • tongue drops deep into the throat cutting off the airway (breathing difficulty, turning blue), breathing difficulty [airway obstruction by tongue swallowing, respiratory depression]
  • feeling delirious, inability of normal thinking, loss of sense of time and place [stimulative excitement, confusion]
  • pale face, cold sweat, loss of consciousness [circulatory shock]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
