Effects of this medicine

This medicine is an imidazole antifungal agent and shows antifungal action by inhibiting cell membrane synthesis of fungus that is the cause of skin diseases.
It is usually used to treat skin fungal diseases such as tinea (athlete's foot, etc.), cutaneous candidiasis, chromophytosis and seborrheic dermatitis.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • For treatment of tinea, cutaneous candidiasis,chromophytosis: In general, apply once a day to the affected area.
    For treatment of seborrheic dermatitis: In general, apply twice a day to the affected area.
    Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist in either case.
  • Not for ophthalmic use.If any lotion gets into your eyes, immediately rinse with water or lukewarm water and check with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not use this medicine on severely eroded surfaces.
  • To use on your scalp, take appropriate amount on your fingers and apply. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
  • If you miss a dose, apply the missed dose as soon as possible. DO NOT use a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
  • If you use too much of this medicine (more than prescribed), check with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Pay attention, this medicine may cause softening of synthetic resin and dissolving of paint.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include irritation, itching, contact dermatitis, erythema, blister, heat sensation, rash, skin peeling, sticky skin, hives, erosion, cracks, pain, and application site reaction(bleeding, discomfort, dryness, inflammation, complex sensation, swelling). If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
