Effects of this medicine

This medicine is a steroid preparation for external use. It shows anti-inflammatory effects and suppresses skin inflammation, and improves symptoms such as redness, swelling and itch.
It is usually used to treat various skin diseases such as eczema/dermatitis, prurigo, insect bite and psoriasis.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have skin infections with bacteria/fungi/spirochetes/viruses, eczematous external otitis with eardrum perforation, ulcer or burn/frostbite.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • In general, apply an appropriate amount of this medicine to the affected area, once to several times a day. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • Avoid using tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants when you apply this medicine to areas where the diaper is in contact with the skin.
  • Do not use the medicine for ophthalmic purposes. If this medicine accidentally gets into your eyes, wash it off with water. If you still feel something wrong, consult with ophthalmologist.
  • If you miss a dose, apply the missed dose when you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and then apply the next dose as instructed. You should not apply two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally apply more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop applying this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Do not use this medicine as a makeup base or after shaving.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include folliculitis, tinea, irritation, steroid acne, skin atrophy and itch. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • eye pain, headache, reduced visual acuity [glaucoma, posterior capsular cataract]

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them. Ask your pharmacy on how to discard the remainder.
