Effects of this medicine

This medicine shows bactericidal action toward trophic bacteria (Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria), yeast and viruses, etc. It is usually used for the disinfection of finger/skin and medical devices.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • In general, first dilute this medicine with purified water and apply to the site with 76.9 to 81.4 vol % of ethanol. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • Do not use on injured skin and mucosa.
  • When using it for medical instruments with proteins such as blood and body fluids attached, please wash well before using.
  • Be aware of inhalating vapor of this medicine in case of broad area or long-term use.
  • Be aware not to let the medicine get in your eyes. If this medicine accidentally gets into your eyes, wash your eyes with water adequately.
  • Note that repeated use on the same site may cause rough skin by delipidation, etc.
  • If you miss a dose, use a dose as soon as you remember.
  • If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
