Effects of this medicine

This medicine inhibits the replication (multiplication) of influenza A virus in an early stage and prevents viral infection.
It is usually used to treat influenza A virus infection. It can also be used to treat influenza A virus infection. It is complementary of vaccine therapy and is used only when influenza vaccines are unavailable, in patients who cannot be vaccinated because of a certain disease, or until the vaccine becomes effective after injection.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have epilepsy or a history of it, convulsive predisposition or renal disorder needing dialysis.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (100 mg of the active ingredient) in 1 to 2 divided doses a day. The dosage should be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms, but in elderly or patients with renal disorder, the daily dose should not exceed 2 tablets (100 mg). Strictly follow the instructions.
  • If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • This medicine may cause dizziness, light-headedness, dizziness on standing up and blurred vision. Pay attention to performing dangerous machinery such as working at heights or driving a car.
  • It has been reported that psychoneurotic symptoms including abnormal behavior occurred after taking the medicine for influenza A infection, although its relationship to the medicine is unknown. The guardians should be careful not to leave children/minors alone.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include sleep disorder, drowsiness, anxiety, hyperthymic, agitation, incoordination, excitement, dizziness, headache/dull headache, lassitude/malaise, sweating, livedo reticularis, edema of lower limbs, chest pain, hypothermia and urinary incontinence. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • high fever, disturbed consciousness, muscle rigidity [neuroleptic malignant syndrome]
  • fever, bloodshot eyes, erythema/blister in extensive skin [mucocutaneous ocular syndrome, toxic epidermal necrosis]
  • decreased vision, foreign body sensation in eyes, sensitive to light [diffuse superficial keratitis, corneal edema-like symptoms]
  • general edema, breathing difficulty, easy breathing in upright position [heart failure]
  • faint consciousness, hallucination/delusion, convulsion [disturbed consciousness (including coma), psychological symptoms, convulsion, myoclonus]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
