Effects of this medicine

This medicine helps to ease respiration with bronchodilation, widening of the airway and anti-allergic action. It also improves urine leakage with relaxing effect of bladder smooth muscle, lowering effect of intravesical pressure and contracting effect of external urinary sphincter.
It is usually used to improve the symptoms such as respiratory distress caused by airway obstruction in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema or acute bronchitis and to treat urinary incontinence associated with stress urinary incontinence.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
    If you have lower urinary tract obstruction.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • For bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema or acute bronchitis:In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (20 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, and for children aged 5 years old or over, take 0.3 mcg/kg (0.3 mcg of the active ingredient per 1 kilogram of body weight) at a time, respectively, twice a day, in the morning and before bedtime. If the medicine is taken as needed, in general, for adults, take 2 tablets (20 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time and for children aged 5 years old or over, take 0.3 mcg/kg at a time. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age and symptoms. If the medicine is taken as needed repeatedly, consult with your doctor immediately. This preparation contains 10 mcg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • For stress urinary incontinence: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (20 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day, in the morning and evening. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age and symptoms. The maximum daily dose is up to 6 tablets (60 mcg). Strictly follow the instructions.
  • If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itch, headache, nausea, palpitation, tachycardia, tremor (tremor of limbs) and muscle spasticity (muscle stiffness). If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • arrhythmia (disturbed pulse, irregular pulse rate), lassitude, muscle weakness [reduction in serum potassium level]

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.
