Effects of this medicine

This medicine acts on benzodiazepine receptors in the hypothalamus and cerebral limbic system to relieve tension and anxiety by enhancing the function of GABA, which are inhibitory neurotransmitters in the brain. It also suppresses muscle spasm through muscle tension release.
It is usually used to treat anxiety, tension, sleep disorder caused by neurosis, depression and psychosomatic disorder (hypertension, gastroduodenal ulcer), and sleep disorder caused by schizophrenia. And it is used to improve anxiety, tension, dysphoria , muscle tension caused by cervical spondylosis, low back pain and tension headache.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have acute narrow-angle glaucoma or myasthenia gravis.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • Neurosis and depression: In general, for adults, take 4 tablets (1 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day.
    Psychosomatic disorder, cervical spondylosis, low back pain and tension headache: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (0.5 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day.
    Sleep disorder : In general, for adults, take 4 to 12 tablets (1 to 3 mg of the active ingredient) once a day at bedtime.
    The dosage may be adjusted according to disease, age and symptoms of the patient in any case. However, for elderly patients, the maximum daily dose is restricted to 6 tablets (1.5 mg).
    Strictly follow the instructions.
  • If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should not take two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • This medicine may cause sleepiness and lack of attention, concentration and reflex movement. Avoid operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car.
  • Pay attention that alcohol (drinking) may cause deterioration of mental, perceptual and motility function.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include sleepiness, lightheadedness, irritable excitation, confusion, erythema, rash, hives, itch, malaise, lassitude, blepharospasm (ocular symptom such as the high number of blink, sensitive to light, dry eye, etc.). If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • unable to control addiction to the medicine, limbs tremor / insomnia / anxiety / convulsion / hallucination caused by discontinuation of the medicine [dependency]
  • respiratory distress, ill feeling, headache [respiratory depression, carbon dioxide narcosis]
  • fever, muscle stiffness, aphagia [malignant syndrome]
  • muscle pain, lassitude, reddish brown urine [rhabdomyolysis]
  • fever, cough, respiratory distress [interstitial pneumonia]

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
