Effects of this medicine

This medicine is progestational hormone agent. It maintains pregnancy by acting on uterine endometrium and improving implantation of fertilized egg.
It is usually used for progestational hormonal replacement therapy in assisted reproduction technologies.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have genital bleeding, missed abortion (retention of a dead fetus in the uterus) or ectopic pregnancy, liver dysfunction, porphyria (porphyrin overaccumulation in the body due to enzyme abnormality), cardiac dysfunction, renal dysfunction or diabetes mellitus
    If you have a history of breast/genital cancer or are suspected of them.
    If you have thromboembolism/thrombophlebitis, epilepsy/depression, migraine/asthma or have a history of them.
  • If you are breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • In general, insert 1 capsule (200 mg of the active ingredient) deep into the vagina with clean-scrubbed hands at a time, 3 times a day from 2 to 7 days before embryo transplantation. If pregnancy is confirmed, continue the treatment until 9 weeks after the transplantation (11 weeks of pregnancy). Strictly follow the instructions.
  • This medicine is not oral agent. Do not take it orally.
  • If you miss a dose, follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. In general, if you miss a dose, use the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never use two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Pay attention since anxiety or change in mood may occur after discontinuation of this medicine.
  • Pay attention when driving a car or operating machinery since drowsiness or dizziness may occur.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (lower abdominal pain, abdominal bloating, nausea), vulvovaginal itching, abnormal uterine bleeding and genital bleeding. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • pain/swelling of calf, numbness of limbs, sharp chest pain [thrombosis]

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from sunlight, heat and moisture.
