Effects of this medicine

This medicine is a positively charged (cationic) surfactant that shows antibacterial effect against common bacteria and fungi.
It is usually used for oral disinfection and prevention of wound infection after tooth extraction.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • For oral disinfection: In general, dilute 2 mL (4 mg of the active ingredient) of this medicine with approximately 100 mL of water or lukewarm water to make a 0.004% solution, and gargle several times a day as needed.
    For prevention of wound infection after tooth extraction: In general, dilute 5 to 10 mL (10 to 20 mg of the active ingredient) of this medicine with approximately 100 mL of water or lukewarm water to make a 0.01 to 0.02% solution, and gargle several times a day as needed.
  • For wounds such as those after tooth extraction, avoid gargling vigorously since doing so may increase the amount of time required for bleeding to stop.
  • If you miss a dose, use the missed dose as soon as possible.
  • If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include hypersensitivity and feeling of stimulation. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
