Effects of this medicine

This medicine is a component of blood or body fluid. It has salt action to rise osmotic pressure of body fluid and diuretic action.
It is usually used to replace loss of salt, for cleaning and dressing of the skin/wound surface/mucous membranes. It is also used to cleanse bronchial mucosa and to promote the discharge of sputum by gargling/inhaling.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • The replace loss of salt: In general, for adults, take 1 to 2 g of the active ingredient, as whole or dissolved with water. The dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms of the patient. Strictly follow the instructions.
    To cleanse and dress skin/wound surface/mucous membranes: In general, use for cleaning and dressing of the skin, wound surface, mucous membranes as isotonic solution. Strictly follow the instructions.
    To cleanse bronchial mucosa and to promote the discharge of sputum by gargling/inhaling: In general, use for gargle and inhalation as isotonic solution. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • If you miss a dose, use a dose as soon as you remember. You should never use two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gastrointestinal symptom such as nausea/vomiting and edema. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
