Effects of this medicine

This medicine is an adrenocorticosteroid and it has the anti-inflammatory/anti-allergic activity, suppresses the inflammation or the allergic reaction of eyes/ears/the upper respiratory tract.
It is usually used for the symptomatic treatment of inflammatory diseases (blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, episcleritis, anterior uveitis, and postoperative inflammation) in outer ocular segment and anterior ocular segment in ophthalmology. It is usually used for the inflammatory/allergic disease (external otitis, tympanitis, allergic rhinitis and so on) of the external ear and middle ear (including the eustachian tube) or the upper respiratory tract or the postoperative management in otorhinology.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have: corneal ulcer, conjunctival or corneal disease caused by viruses, tuberculous eye disease, fungal eye disease or suppurative eye disease in eye, tuberculous or viral disease in ear or nose, or diabetes.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • For ophthalmologic disease: In general, apply 1 to 2 drops at a time, 3 to 4 times a day.
    For otorhinological disease: In general, apply the suitable amount once to several times a day, by ear dripping, nasal dripping, ear instillation, usage of a nebulizer or tampons, or pouring into affected parts.
    In any of these cases, the dose may be adjusted according to your disease and/or age/symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • If you miss a dose, apply a dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should not use two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include stimulating feeling of the affected part. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • (For otorhinology) local pain, pus secretion in the local  [induction of infection]
  • (For ophthalmology) severe eye pain, headache, failing eyesight [glaucoma]
  • (For ophthalmology) eye pain, abnormal feeling in the eyes, sensitive to bright light  [corneal herpes, keratomycosis, pseudomonas aeruginosa infection, corneal perforation]
  • (For ophthalmology) sensitive to bright light, foggy vision, failing eyesight [posterior subcapsula cataract]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store it at cool place, away from light, moisture and freeze.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Do not replace it in other containers (cause of misuse and quality change).
  • Do not put other thing in the container and use it.
