Effects of this medicine

This medicine lowers eye pressure by increasing fluid drainage from the eye.
Usually, used for treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash etc.) to any medicines.
    If you wear contact lenses.
    If you have aphakic eye or pseudophakic eye.
    If you have bronchial asthma or history of bronchial asthma, intraocular inflammation (e.g. iritis, uveitis).
    If you have possible herpesvirus infection.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • In general, apply one drop at a time, once a day. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor and pharmacist.
  • Before using, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water. Pull down your lower eyelid so that the dropper tip does not touch eye or eyelid. After dropping the solution into your eye, do not blink, and keep your eyes closed for a while. Wipe off any excess liquid with a clean gauze or tissue. If you need to use other eye drops at the same time, wait more than 5 minutes.
  • If you are wearing contact lenses, take off the lenses and then administer because it might lead contact lenses to discoloration. Wait more than 15 minutes to wear your contact lenses again.
  • If you miss a dose, apply one drop at a time if it is within the day. If you notice that you missed a dose on the next day, apply one drop at a time, once a day as usual. You should never use two doses in one day or two drops at one time. (By the frequent dosage, intraocular pressure drop action may attenuate.)
  • If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Applying the eye-drops may cause iris pigmentation, followed by gradual thicken of the symptom. The color may not be restored even if you withdwaw the eye-drops. If you apply only a monocular, there may be difference in the color of iris with the eyes of light and left. If you become aware of it, check with your doctor.
  • This medicine may cause transient blurred vision. Avoid driving a car or operating machinery until these symptoms recover.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include conjunctival hyperaemia, ocular irritancy symptom, itching, eye pain, blepharitis (eye lid infection), eyelid pigmentation, blurred vision, abnormal eyelash, visual activity decrease, lacrimation, headache, throat discomfort and nausea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, high temperature and moisture.
  • Store at room temperature, close the cap, and put in the mobile bag after opening.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
