Effects of this medicine

This medicine inhibits synthesis of bacterial cell wall, and shows antibacterial action.
It is usually used in the treatment of eye infections such as conjunctivitis and hordeolum (sty), and for the sterilization before and after eye surgery.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you or your family member have/ has a tendency to develop allergic symptoms such as bronchial asthma, rash and hives.
    If you wear contact lenses.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • Dissolve 1 vial into 5 mL of the attached solvent. In general, apply 1 to 2 drops at a time, 4 times daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • Push up the upward arrow (↑) on the powder vial and remove the top. Unscrew the large white cap of the solvent bottle. Insert firmly the bottle into the vial, not to spill the solvent, and then shake them well to dissolve the powder completely. After pouring the dissolved medicine into the bottle, remove the vial and recap the bottle tightly.
  • Before using, wash your hands with soap and water. Then remove the small pink cap only, apply the medicine not to touch the tip of eye dropper to any surface of your eye. After instilling, close your eyes and do not blink for a while. Wipe off any excess liquid with a clean gauze or tissue. If you need to use other eye drops at the same time, wait more than 5 minutes.
  • If you miss a dose, apply a dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should not use two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, hives, irritation in the eye, itching in the eye, conjunctival congestion, blepharitis (eyelid inflammation) and swelling/redness in the eyelid. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • facial pallor, cold sweat, dizziness on standing up  [shock]

Storage conditions and other information

  • Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (1-30℃), away from direct sunlight.
  • After dissolution, store in a cold place (1-15℃), and use within 7 days.
  • Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • To avoid improper use and quality loss, do not transfer this solution to any other bottle or container.
  • Do not use any other solution in this bottle.
